When Justice Labarga hangs up his black robe for the last time, Labarga will have dedicated more than 30 years to Florida’s judiciary, including nearly two decades on the state’s highest court. In that time, Labarga made history as the court’s first Hispanic chief justice and as the first chief justice to serve two consecutive terms in more than a century.
